" McDonalds Upperdeck Hockey "
Does anyone know about the ( Upper Deck French Hockey cards ),from
what I'm hearing,you can only get them in Maine and in Canada.
I would like to know how they are purchased,do you have to buy a
certain kind of Burger,are they in Happy Meals,can they be bought
over the counter with no purchase ? I just bought 2 packs,and I
don't want to say what I paid for them yet.

I don't know about Maine, but I know they were available in
Canada by just purchasing a soft drink. However, the offer
has long since been terminated, and you can now only get them
either from other noters, or from the dealers. Prices for the
complete set have dropped quite a bit, recently, I saw them
on sale for $15 per set, which included the Holos.

I went into Canada and picked up a set for $20 canadian. The set itself
is a 50 card set of last years all-star game (49 player cards + 1
checklist/title card) and a 6 hologram set of what appears to be the
top players in all 6 positions (Gretzky, Hull, Neely {forwards},
Bourque, Chelios {defense} and Roy {goal}) The cards are similar the
all-star subset in last years high-numbers set. They are numbered Mc-1,
Mc-2, Mc-3..... the holos are numbered McH-1, McH-2... and the little
holo on the back of the cards is in the shape of the golden arches.
Nice set for $20-$30 bucks. Holos are Really nice (clear + coloful)
but I wouldn't pay more than $30.

My mistake, its only a 25 card set, not 50 as I previously noted.
