I just spoke with my dealer "friend" on the west coast last night, and he informed me he got in his o-p-c order form in yesterday. He is con- centrating his order on premier, and they're "LIMITING" each dealer to 5 cases, i guess to try and make the stuff seem hard to get. It may very well be tought to get 'cause I don't know how many dealers are going to dish out $850-$1000 a case. (24 box case.) There only shipping Feb. 10th, so that's a long time to hold up someone's money...I don't know how many dealers are going to dish out 4500 clams to wait 3 months for. He says he's gonna buy his 5 cases and sit on it to see what happens. He offered me a case from another dealer he knows for $950; a little rich for my blood, that translates to about $38 a box... If you should change your mind let me know. Then you would only need to get another 22 people to buy a box. :} Jim

One dealer (out of about 30) had a bunch of singles for sale at a flea market yeaterday. These cards look exactly like last years except they have a '92 in the corner and the lettering on the bottom is bigger. The amazing thing is his prices were reasonable. ($4 for Jagr, $1.50 for Roenick, .50 for Oates). He didn't have any boxes or packs, just a bunch of singles. How 'bout them apples, Bill

Glad you think $4 for a piece of cardboard with some ink on it straight out of the pack is reasonable Bill. I don't. -rjk |
