    These were available for $75-88 this weekend at the GBSCC show.
    
    They are available at Rotman's for $99.99, and they have plenty
    of CASES available.
    
    This is the first weekend these have been readily available in
    the N'East.  These prices are much lower than the pre-order
    prices in SCD.  If they came out this low, they'll drop.
    
    Be patient.

    One factor in the prices maybe the size of the set, one series of
    500 cards.  You'll be lucky to make a set from two boxes, so maybe
    the price per box will be influenced some by that.  With the other
    factor of football not being very "big" around the NE area in general,
    box prices are going to drop, especially with some collectors opting
    to go for the hockey instead.  I would bet once the stadium hockey 
    hits the street, you'll see some real fire sales on the football.

    Ok, I violated the Karlson rule and bought 5 or 6 packs at $2.50
    a pop.  I did get 3 Emmitt Smith's out of the 6.  What's the relative
    worth compared to a Sanders?  I'd be willing to trade a Smith for a
    Sanders if anyone's interested.
    
    Nice set, but I think I'll pass on a full set right now a wait for

    Oh yes, and you must mail me the cards.  That way your erroneous
    ways can truly be forgiven.
    
    (Packs is packs Walt.  Buying boxes now is foolish.  So is buying
     packs -- but not NEARLY as foolish as buying boxes 8^).

    Only if I plan to put together a whole set.  I've basically got
    what I want out of it so I can either pay $2.50 for 6 packs or
    pay $10 later for a Sanders once they start to go up.  Smith
    should get me what I need and I have some rookies (Nagel,
    Croel, Marinovich, Hill).  I figured if Frank Thomas is still
    up high, who's gonna go higher than Smith and Sanders in the set?
    
    Now, if I want a whole set.....
    
    

    I didn't think I'd really get to this point, but I have neither
    the space nor money to keep chasing just football, never mind the
    rest....
    
    But, I would like to buy any ex-Notre Damer you guys might get as
    extra....

    At the show today the packs where running $1.25/pack, $40/box.
    I'm waiting for these to drop just a bit more..

    I went to Osco Drug and bought them for a $1.25,I bought the last
    packs (27) that they had,I also talked to the Manager,and it's 
    amazing how we get ripped off by the dealers and the funniest thing
    is that we can't do anything about it.A dealer went to this Osco store
    Tuesday and bought all 10 boxes that were on the rack for $45.00
    dolars a box.
    The only reason why I got mine was because someone returned them.
    I know that someone will say (you don't have to buy them) and I agree,
    but I know what their paying for them and what their selling them for,and
    thats what pisses me off. The Manager told me that they (Osco) buy them
    for $.75 per pack,and he felt that he was being fair selling them for 
    $1.25. 
    I told him thats why I was buying them because it was a fair price,and
    very affordable.

    I got a Jay Schroeder card with no Gold on it.  The name and the blue
    stripe and black oval are there.
    
    Is it *really* worth anything?  If I offered it to a dealer as an
    "error" card, how much should I ask for?
