Picked up my box this morning. BJ's had them for $24.98 (one box limit).
Series I has 300 cards:
001-278 are regular team cards
279-298 are Draft Picks
299-300 are checklist
Theres a 10 card "Ultra Performance" set, I find cards 1 of 10 thru 5 of 10.
I'm assumming 6 of 10 thru 10 of 10 will be Series II boxes.. Here's a list
of the first 5.
1. Emmitt Smith
2. Andre Rison
3. Derrick Thomas
4. Joe Montana
5. Warren Moon
This box had every card from 1 to 300 and the first 5 "Performance" cards
to complete the set. I was 106 cards short of a second set, but did get
all the "Performance" cards I needed for a second set.
The cards have the same design as the Ultra baseball cards. But, I found
the football cards seem to have had a better QC department. Well centered
and no damaged corners.

Well, I stand corrected. The box I bought doesn't have series I written
on it. So I guess there'll only be one series, with an update.
So lets see, I'm not sure anymore if the "Performance" cards 6 thru 10
will be in the update boxes, or just in a different release (like UD
Football did with the Game Breaker Hologram cards) . Or maybe I just got
unluck and there all issued at once..
If anyone gets "Performance" cards 6 thru 10, post it.

What box did you get?
I guess there's a "Green" box and a "Black" Box. I got the black one.
I didn't get performance cards, but I did get Ultra All-Star cards.
1-10 in 1 box.
Sanders, K. Jackson, B. Smith, Cunningham, Marino, Haley, J.L.
Williams, D. Green, S. Paige, K. Greene.
I refuse to buy 1 box of each...
Sigh...

I bought a green box.... (Dark green)
I agree with you walt-, no way will I buy a box of each. But, I
will keep my eyes open for an All-Star set.

| I picked up a box this weekend, the black box, and completed a set, I
was missing #6,7,9, and 10 of the All Stars. I got it for a good
price, $30 which is as cheap as I have seen it. Hopefully I can find a
green box just as cheap. I just want the Performance cards, but it'll
be just as cheap to buy a box and make my own set, as to try and buy
the cards in a subset. I was told that the Black Boxes were sent to
card dealers, and the green were sent to candy dealers and such.

| Although there is no second series of Ultra, there is and update set.
My dealer just got them in this weekend, and he is selling them for $18
for the 100 card set. It is supposed to have some of the rookies who
did well not included in the first set.
