    	There's 264 cards to a set, 10 cards per pack and there's
    48 packs per box. Released sometime late Sept early Oct.
    I havn't heard anything on the price yet.

    I saw some studio cards last night at a show but did not pay much
    attention to them.  Perhaps they were...SAMPLES?  Anyway, Donruss/Leaf
    plans to insert 17 or so of the cards into the retail factory set (as
    opposed to the hobby factory set).  No dealers are supposed to get
    these sets so that they can do to them what they did with Leaf preview
    cards.  Not sure if the inserted cards are of the "preview" variety. 
    If they are the same as the regular cards, no dealer would want to mess
    with them anyway.
    
    That is what I have heard about them.  Dealers got letters from the
    company on this because Donruss was not happy what they did to the
    preview cards.  Perhaps Donruss should have just placed an entire
    (maybe smaller) set in the first factory set, like Fleer Provision.
    Of course, Studio will be LIMITED.

    Sorry Lance, but I saw at least two dealers with ads in SCD selling
    the Donruss "retail" factory sets with the studio preview cards.
    
    When will enough be enough ... ?

    Somehow they get their hands on everything.  If Donruss put in
    "preview" cards in those sets...the whole thing is a joke.

    B.J.'S (Salem,N.H.) had the Studio Cards Saturday,they allocated 
    1 case per store,and 1 box per customer.I saw greedy people hiding
    boxes like squirreles hiding nuts,it was real funny to see.The funniest
    part was when I took them and put them back on the skid where they
    belonged,that had to piss them off when they came back to see that
    they were gone. The price was $28.48 per box,48 packs per box,and 10
    cards per pack.there are 263 cards per set,and there is 1 card that is
    not numbered that says Studio.The back side of the card tells a brief
    story about the Leaf Studio Card.
    There is no " Bo " card in this set.

    Went to Bradleys Saturday night and saw the 1991 Donruss set
    going for $29.98,but guess what,someone opened 35 boxes (sets)
    and took all the studio cards.I'm talking about Bradleys in 
    Salem N.H.,you can't tell me that it wasn't an inside job.
    
    

    
    	I saw the same thing happen at Paperama in Natick, there were
    	about 10 boxes that had the wrapper missing, I opened on of them
    	to see if the Leaf preview cards were inside, and they were not.
    	The set was selling for $26.

    I brought some packs yesterday at a store at $2.25 a pack and 
    found some interesting information on the distribution.
    Looks like the wax boxes are numbered underneath from 1-4 and
    they correspond to odd and even. In other words if your box
    has a 1 under it you'll more likely to be missing alot of the
    even number of cards and vise-a-ver-sa. Looks like Phil Plantier
    is more available in the even numbered boxes (2 & 4) and so is
    Frank Thomas but Frank Thomas is also in the odd boxes. I don't
    know how vaild this information is but the dealer did flip the
    wax box and showed me the number 4 and I did get a Phil Plantier
    and a Frank Thomas, Van Poppel and Roger Clemens out of the 4
    packs that I brought.

    John?  Did you run your box underneath an ultra-violet scanner?
    
    I bet if you did, you'd find that there was a special code on
    the bottom of box, used to warn off speculators, so that the box
    would be left for collectors.
    
    Either that, or try playing it backwards on your stereo, and see
    if it says "!skcus ssurnoD !skcus ssurnoD !skcus ssurnoD !skcus
    ssurnoD"

    At most of the cards shows we go to, the "fair" dealers are trading,
    selling, buying at the prices listed for the regular LEAF sets in
    Beckett.  At least thats what they've been doing for me.

    	for.  How can I do this ?.  Easy...
    
    	Since my node is STUDIO::, if you bought any cards from me, they
    	would be STUDIO cards, isn't that right... ?
