Is anyone interested in reporting price information (ala a Beckett's survey) in this notesfile? I am often curious at shows to know what others have paid recently for the same card, set, etc. Seems to me that this would be in keeping with Roy's goal of not getting burned by the certain scum-suckers out there. Either in the individual card notes as replies, or via some other method, folks could regularly report want they have paid or seen offered for the various cards. This is done now in certain notes, but if it were done on a more comprehensive basis it would seem we all could avoid over paying for particular items. Opinions? jeff

I guess the problem would be in organizing the data in a useful, easy to use fashion. Probably easier to leave it to individual card notes if someone is interested enough to ask. This hit me the other day when folks replied to my price question on Pro-Vision fleer football cards, if I had the price info to reference I possibly might have avoided buying higher than the going rate. For a few bucks difference when collecting, it isn't a big deal, but it's helpful to know prices elsewhere. Especially when everyone at a particular show has around the same (high) prices for some item. jeff |
