Star Co. But they are nice looking cards though. Are'nt

| Yes, they are. I seen the boxes going for
$19.00 apiece but each dealer is different
as we all know. They're worth it! I'm
waiting to see how much they'll be going
for in the Beckett.

| I went through my box of Score and you talk about missing alot of cards
and alot of duplication. I'm missing 58 cards and have alot of
duplication.
My ProSet box was pretty well filled. I'm missing 11 cards from that,
that I know of.
If anyone wants to do some trading.....

| I picked up 2 boxes last nite for $16.00 ea.,and I have to agree that
they are a good looking card,also there are many many dups.
Is score going to call back any cards,or hasn't the rumor got out yet
that they were calling back 13 cards the same way( Proset did ) ?
I talked to 4 different dealers from 4 different towns and they said
that Proset does not know anything about the writeup in SCD. Again we
had to pay for the rumor !

Duplicates are going to be part of any set that comes out in two
series. For examples; there are 576 cards in a box, Score football
series I has only 440 cards. So I'm not sure why everyone is
complaining about dups.. I opened my box last night and got 93%
of the set.... Now you can't ask for anything better that that.
I wish these companies would just come out with the whole set at
once. But then they wouldn't make all the money.

I never saw one in SCD, although I did see ProSet and Fleer.

| Take a good look around card shows, I saw both series I and II selling
for $7 a box just last weekend at a show. I have completed two sets,
and I'm almost positive I saw Score 91' sets selling for $20, but they
might have been last years.

Wake up rjk, the factory sets have been out for a couple weeks now.
Don't pay $27 at your local toys r us, I bought one at a large
show for $16. Supposed cost to this dealer was $15.

| Anybody who might want some unopened boxes to store for a while just
take a look around at shows. I picked up 6 boxes of Series 1 and 6 of
series 2 for $3!!! a box at a show this weekend. Shows you how much
their value has dropped. I also bought 2 completed factory sets at the
same table for $10.

| Would someone please tell me about this 1991 Score Young Superstars
subset. Did they have 1990 Young Superstars? I haven't seen this
subset sold in store?
Obviously there are Chargers involved in this set.

The Young Superstars sets are sets available through a mail-in
offer on the back of Score WaxPacks.
It's usually a 40-card set, VERY high gloss, and the design is
usually a lot nicer than the design they do their "real" set with.
Sets started out at $4.95, and now cost $6.95
Dealers can by them by the caseload, and some do.
The only one that's every done anything is the the 1990 Score
Young Superstars of Hockey (Lindros, Federov, Jagr, etc.) -- all
the others can almost always be found from a dealer for LESS than
the mail-in offer.
Yes, they had a FB set for last year, and this year. I don't
believe they had one for '89 -- their inaugral football year, but
could be mistaken.
I will check my SYSFB sets from last year and this for you to see
if there are any Chargers.
Unfortunately Glenn, these are sold only as complete sets, and because
they rarely attain any value, are hardly ever broken up. You'll
probably have to buy a whole set to get any Chargers.

| OK Roy, I'm with you on this. I also confirmed that there were Young
Superstar sets in 1990 and 1991. I'll find them somewhere, that's for
sure.
I know that Butts, Cornish and Seau are in the 1991 set, but no idea
about the 1990 set. If you don't mind, I'd sure appreciate it if you'd
go through your 1990 set and let me know what Chargers are in there.
