248.0. "Uncut sheets" by MAGIC::CAMERON () Mon Mar 04 1991 09:42

    	I looked around for a note on un-cut sheets but couldn't find one.
    I was able recently to get my hands on 2 '91 Topps baseball un-cut
    sheets. The sheets are 132 cards each, so the full set of 792 cards
    would be 6 sheets. I've got boards 2 and 4. What I was wondering was
    if anyone knows what the availability of un-cut sheets is? Can you buy
    them anywhere, and if so how much do they cost? Thanks for any info.

248.2The sheets I have are numbered...MAGIC::DUFFER::CAMERONThis looks like it could be Gravy!Mon Mar 04 1991 12:5811

    	On one side of the sheet there's 3 values, I can't remember all of
    them but they included a run number and a printing location, I think.
    One of those might have been a letter, I'll look again. Anyway those 3
    values were the same on both boards. On the opposite side of the
    sheets it actually said "BOARD 2" and "BOARD 4" respectively.

    	How often do you see full sheets Mike?

    Thanks,
    Bob....

    	That's great, I was hoping they'de be available. I really want to
    start collecting them, there's somthing about them that appeals to me.
    Anyway, thanks for the info.

    When Topps discusses sheets they use a letter. This same letter
    appears on the back of every card that is in that sheet. If you look
    closely you will see it.

    	Mike, you never answered Bob's question. That is, he asked how
    often you see uncut sheets (chuckle, chuckle...I still can't do those
    smiley face things!!!!!)
    Anyway, I don't know if you guys who collect the sheets are aware of
    this.....Rotmans carries a 'semi-rigid' that will hold an uncut Topps
    sheet. A friend of mine got one and I thought he told me it cost
    something like $12.
