pre-order price of $15.95 today. How many in the set?

Rick, there are 445 cards in the factory set as opposed to 440 in
a set completed from wax packs. The factory set has a special 5
card bonus set of Eric Lindros. There is an 18 card All-Star sub-
set, a 42 card prospect subset and an 18 card first round draft
choice subset. The sets also come in either an American or French
(Canadian) version. I ordered mine about a month ago for 15$ ppd.
and someone else got them for 13$ I believe.

Thanks, John. Have you seen the cards yet? It being Score, I would
    imagine it's an attractive set.

FYI. The Score hockey cards are out and are everything they were
susposed to be. Real nice looking cards with tons of subsets (so
you have to buy more packs to fill a set). The going price is in
line with what it is susposed to be. $.50 a pack $15.00 a box.
Well worth the money. IMO much higer quality than Topps or Pro SET.

I finally opened my box last night and was a little disappointed with the
distribution, only 80.7%. Which means I still need 85 cards out of 440,
    with something like 185 doubles...

The cards are very nice... I'm looking for someone to trade with...8^)

    I bought 4 boxes at B.J.'s (Salem N.H.) for $12.99 per box of 36,
    and I'm also a little dissapointed,I only opened one box,and I
need about 65 cards. As far as the quality of the card,I think it's
great.I'm not going to open the other boxes seeing that they are
a Premiere Edition. Mike I have alot of dups, send me your list of
    what you need.

I bought them Saturday morning, they also have Pro Set Hockey at
    the same price.

A dealer friend of mine had a sale last weekend on the Score hockey
factory set $18.00. I saw a price in Tuff Stuff of $23.00 . So I
bought a set but can't comment on the cards since I have not opened the
    box yet.

I really like cards #1(Gretzky) and #300(Hull). These cards have some
of the best action shots in the history of hockey cards. Wayne is
winding up to let one fly and there is a fan of ice coming up from his
left skate and a killer look on his face. Brett has just let a shot go
that could pierce iron and he's fully extended and balancing one the
edge of one skate. Ooohh, I get goosebumps! Prime displayable cards.
The computer enhanced All-Star cards are pretty neat too. I highly
recommend the cards even if your not interested in the whole set.

199.9SCORE's two AUSRCV1::SAPPBFri Aug 23 1991 09:5216
I forgot to mention, this set has two(2) additions to it. Everyone
seems to know about the Rookie & Traded set. It's listed in Beckett's,
top cards are Fedorov, Lindros, Belfour and Jagr. The lesser known
addition is called Young Superstars and consists of 40 cards consisting
of promising rookies(Fedorov, Ricci, Sundin), top one-year
players(Mogilny, Madono, Turcotte) and young players arleady
consisdered stars (Leetch, P. Turgeon, Sakic) and a Lindros in an
Oshawa game. In Buffalo, this set is going for $15-20 which is
excellent considering every card is worth at least $1 separately and
the Fedorov is going for $10 and Lindros is going for $20. In
Rochester, no one has seen this set so I'm sure I could make a killing
one card at a time but due to the seemingly rarity of this set, I'm
holding on. Oh yeah, this cards are really glossy and high quality as
if the roster weren't enough. Beckett's won't list them in their
monthly guide because they say they're too rare .

Too rare my ars. Every dealer has 'em.

No one's ever wanted these "Young Superstar" sets from Score before
-- even tho' quality is exceptional.

Why the big demand for this one? Because of Eric "I hope he falls
on his face and everyone eats his cards" Lindros.

This year's FB set will likely have Emmitt Smith. Will it do the
same thing as the 90 FB Update set did because of this?

I'll keep looking for this set at a REASONABLE price.

I guess this set was worth a little more than you thought, being as
you still are looking one (according to your want list) and are now
willing to spend $15 which was once too much.
It is a pretty good set, with or without Lindros.
I used to know some guys who had a few. I'll see if they're willing
    to trade or sell.

No, I still don't think it's worth all that much. But I would like
to complete my 1990-91 Score "set". And that includes the Young
    Superstars.

I was collecting these things before anyone thought they'd amount
    to anything.

Silly me, I assumed the same of this set.
