| I heard on Eddie Andlemans sports show last nite, it was all about
autographs, that the "Great" Mario Lemieux, of the Penguins does not
sign any autographs for anyone, and has autographed 10 Rookie cards of
himself, placed them in a safe for his new born son, and hopes in 25
years they will be worth a fortune. This will be the only autographs
of him around, and he will own them. What do you think of this guy.
A million + a year is not enough, he wants to prepare for his
retirement. When this gets around, all these guys will be starting
this selfish act. I remember when this hobby was so inocent, money
wasn't involved, and you didn't have to read about lawyers and all this
mess over contracts, etc. Looks like Janney has his own angle here on
how to get his card price up??

| Last nite on Eddies Sport Show, they mentioned that Craig Janney will
be signing autographs at some place on the south shore tonite. Mike,
you might want to get a few of those rare Janney cards signed also. I
think he is charging a mimimal amount as a donation to a charity. If
you want to know where he is signing, call WHDH, 617- 742- 0850, they
can tell you the place where he will be. The lines will be long and
the crowds will be huge, trying to get this mans autograph, so get
there early. Good luck. I wonder if he is limiting the number of
autos per person. I understand he will not sign BATS. Sorry, I mean
STICKS, because of the tremendous dealer mark-up of these items. I
also understand he will not be signing PUCKS, Jock straps, socks,
hockey pants, skates, gloves, helmets, face guards, and Pads. Since
there are very few cards around, what is there left to sign???? These
guys are unbelievable!
