Last year I was watching the channel 2 auction put a bid in for
two upperdeck wax boxes of $90. They ended up going for over $200.
There are no bargains to be had.

To really figure out the price your paying, less the tax effect,
figure out what tax bracket your in, usually 28% or 33%, (if your in
a 15% bracket you shouldn't be buying this stuff anyway). Multiply the
cost of the item you bought times the tax rate. This amount will be
what your tax savings will be from the contribution. Subtract this
from the cost of the item, and this number will be your true price.
Remember, you must itemize your deductions on your 1040 to take this
deduction. Hope this helps anyone participating in this worthwhile
event.
