123.0. "TOPPS STAMP ALBUM" by QBUS::ROCCA (Tom Rocca CSC/AT 343-1256) Mon Mar 19 1990 20:39

I am new to this notes file so please excuse me if this has been
covered somewhere else. I have looked at the keywords and the usual
dir/tit= etc...I have a Topps Baseball Stamp Album from 1961 and
am curious as to it's value (rareness). The book was sold at stores
for a whoping $.10 back in 1961. As some of you may recall, when
you bought the good ole Topps cards you also got some stickers
along with the gum that we all grew up chewing, and chewing, and...
This book had room for 180 stamps, 10 players from each of the 18
teams. Some of the stamps in the book include such names as: Ernie
Banks, Billy Martin, Frank Robinson, Don Drysdale, Hank Aaron, Eddie
Mathews, Warren Spahn, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Jackie Jensen,
Yogi, Mickey, Whitey and Roger, and my favorite Hobie Landrith.
I realize that items such as this are only worth what one can
get, however, I have been unsuccessful in getting an idea of what
this might be worth to collectors. The local card shop owner I talked
to didn't know but thought it may be worth "big" bucks, whatever
that might be. Any input on this will be welcomed.

According to last years Baseball Collectibles price guide, the complete
set in NM is worth $200. Common players are worth .35. The most
expensive stamps are $35.00 for Mantle, $10.00 for Yaz, Aaron, Mays,
    Musial, and Marris.

    Hope this helps,
    Mike B.
