I've was going through some old stuff this weekend, and came across a
bag of Salada Tea Baseball Buttons (some football ones too). Apparently
they are from the early 60's (1963?). Some of them are metal, others
are plastic with a paper picture of the player on one side. All are in
excellent condition. Some of the players include Mantle, Yaz, Berra...
My question is this: Are they worth anything? Does anyone know a dealer
who deals with this type of collectable?
Any info about them would be appreciated.

Get a reference book at the local bookstore, library or card shop
and price them based on condition. If what you found, is what you
said then your a lucky guy.
List them for us.
If you can't find ref. book give me a call I'll xerox the pages.

Thanks, I didn't realize the would be listed in a book (I found the them
listed). My grandfather used to work for Salada Tea, and gave me these
buttons when I was just a kid. They've been sitting in a box for the past
20+ years. All are in great condition (very good to near mint).

I just came across two boxes of "FUN FOOD" collectors edition of
baseball buttons 1984. They are 1 1/4" dia with colored pictures of
players of that year, on the reverse is a pin for attaching. They come
in three to a set in paper bags, 133 in each box. Do these have any
collector value? I never see them in any of the card shops, although a
dealer wanted to give me $10.00 a box just to take them off my hands
and display them in his store.
