Is there a way to limit the traffic sent out on a GIGAswitch port? In
other words to rate limit unicast traffic.
What my customer wants to do is prevent a downstream neighbor from
getting swampped from the load. This is a non-full duplex, unicast
traffic that might be going to a concentrator.
I am not sure why the downstream node/nodes cannot handle the traffic?

There's no feature which allows this with existing firmware.
As with many things, if there is sufficient business justification,
it could probably be done.

P.S. It would probably be more cost effective to just put something in
between which does the rate limiting for you...
