Is there a way to limit the traffic sent out on a GIGAswitch port? In other words to rate limit unicast traffic. What my customer wants to do is prevent a downstream neighbor from getting swampped from the load. This is a non-full duplex, unicast traffic that might be going to a concentrator. I am not sure why the downstream node/nodes cannot handle the traffic? -scott

There's no feature which allows this with existing firmware. As with many things, if there is sufficient business justification, it could probably be done. MDL | |||||

P.S. It would probably be more cost effective to just put something in between which does the rate limiting for you... |
