| First - modules don't have IP addresses. Although IP address
assignments are made to ports, all communication takes place with the
SCP. At no time are you actually communicating with the linecard.
Second - are you saying the upgrade didn't take place, or are you
just asking why you got an error message? ...is that the complete
unedited text of what was seen on the management station?

| P.S. Please note that there is a keyword and a note covers common
upgrade problems (463.*). I'll add a recent improvement to my
checklist to that note.

| Michael,
When i upgraded the whole box and cards to V3.10, there
was one FGL-4 that wouldn't upgrade, so I had it replaced after logging
a hardware call. The new module arrived with V3.01 running and seems
to be fine, so I thought I would upgrade it straight away to 3.10.
So issuing the same download command to this card and I
always get the failure as listed in .0.

| Please check 463.7 for the list of things which can go wrong.
It appears to me as that it is privilege related and not card related,
since it looks like it fails on the first SNMP SET, before it even
tries to do anything with the card.
