I saw on Usenet that fX was currently scrambled with a fixed
key (anyone with a descrambler can watch) and will be using
a private key (or whatever the proper term is) later this
year. I guess they think they have something worth selling.

| Well, it turned out that what had happened was that during a storm my
antenna shifted so it was pointing at a different satellite, even
though the receiver thought it was still looking at G7. I re-aligned
things a few weeks ago and can now see fX again.
However, fX is supposed to be scrambled now anyway, so I guess my
system was just preparing me :-)

Actually, fX is supposed to be going "cable-only" with no plans for it to
be sold to the home dish market.
