I just bought a super Nintendo for my son, and it came wit ONE cassette, containing SMB I, SMB II, SMB III and Super Mario: "The lost levels" . I found some good hints and tips on SMB I,II and III in this notesfile, but not on the "lost levels" game. Is that known under another name in this file and if so which topic? Thanks Timo

My son has the Allstars gamepak. Lost Levels is what was released in Japan as SMB2. What we know as SMB2 was released in Japan under another name. Mario's Dream World, I think. Lost Levels is much harder than SMB1, although very similar in style. Fortunately, you can save at any subworld. It's taken me since Christmas to get to 4-4, with some major frustrations along the way. SMB1 is very up-market with the better graphics of Super Nintendo, and you can save at the start of each main world. (n-1). - Richard. | |||||

It's one of these that you have to go through by a particular route otherwise you circle around. I can't tell you the route, my daughter had already done that castle and just told me the path to take as I went along. I think she said you get a "Beep" if you go the correct way at certain points. But since I usually play with the sound down, I can't confirm that. - Richard. |
