794.0. "Super Kick Off (Gameboy)" by WAYOUT::CLARKE () Thu Apr 29 1993 08:04
Has anybody any experience of this game?
Its big brother Kick Off 3 is my most fave game on the 16 bits so I bought the
port for the Gameboy thinking it would be of a similar (be it 8 bit) standard.
However I find it almost unplayable, my main trouble is that when the computer
team are attacking and boot it up towards your goal if the ball lands on a
screen empty of players it is always the computers attackers who run in and get
the ball, and then invariably run on and score. Do I control my players even when
they are not in view and I am supposed to guess where they are and move them in.
I have noticed that you can pause the game using the start key and scroll the
pitch with the joypad perhaps, I am supposed to do this to tell where everybody
is?
Anyway unless I am missing something it just doesn't seem to flow like Kick Off 3
and with no scanner it is a nightmare.
Please put me right Super Kick Off'ers!
