738.1 | More than 2 players ?? | NROPST::MPO13::CWHITTALL | Only lefties are in their right mind | Mon Mar 23 1992 08:59 | 25 |

?? I'm confused. My son bought this game a few weeks ago.
He's loaned it out to the neighbors, so I haven't played
it myself that much.
But, when we did play it, we could only play two at a
time, and we couldn't select the same player.
Do you have a different version.. When the games starts,
you can play 1 player or 2 players
The two player mode has two options.
Players cannot harm each other
Players CAN hurt each other..
I didn't see an option for more than two players.
Also, we couldn't pick the same turtle for both players.
?? Just curious..
Thanks,
Charlie

| Both of us had the same turtle at the same time with the same
weapons. I thought that being able to play three players was strange
but thought it might be for something that adapts to the system. I
couldn't figure out how to play three players....We rented it one more
time and my son became bored with it so I'm glad I didn't buy it.

Perhaps it requires the use of the NES Sattelite, the accessory that
allows the use of up to 4 controllers/players?

738.4 | Nope... I've got the NES Sattelite... | NROPST::MPO13::CWHITTALL | Only lefties are in their right mind | Tue Mar 31 1992 09:04 | 11 |
| Well, I rechecked over the weekend..
The instruction books states that it is a two player games,
and you CANNOT pick the same player..
Not to beat a dead turtle, I'll chock it up to different cartridges.
I also have the Sattelite, and still only got two players.

738.5 | Game Genie?? | SALEM::KUPTON | Pasta Masta | Wed Apr 01 1992 10:34 | 12 |
| The cartridge we used is at Dial Video in Derry, NH. My son and I
both had turtles with those 3-pronged knives at the same time. I don't
remember if we had the num-chucks at the same time or not. As is the
case with most rentals, we didn't have the rule books......BUT
we were using the Game Genie....and that may explain the
inconsistencies between uses.
We also used the Nintendo Power magazines as a guide through each
challenge.

738.6 | Possible GG is the key.. | NROPST::MPO13::CWHITTALL | Only lefties are in their right mind | Wed Apr 01 1992 15:06 | 15 |
| Ahhhhh
The old Game Genie trick...
Are there codes for TMNT III for Game Genie..
I have GG, but haven't spent the money to get the updates, and possilbe,
you have..
It makes sense that one of the options would be, both players able to
use same player..
Thanks, ... This possible explains my confusion...

| Anyone seen a way to get more lives (like the trick for TMNT II) ?? Ya
know, where at a certain point in the startup you do
up-up-down-left-spin-around-standup-sitdown, etc ....
Thanks
