736.0. "Kid Icarus (Game Boy)" by STRATA::PHILLIPS (Music of the spheres.) Thu Mar 12 1992 12:08
I purchased Kid Icarus for the Game Boy just after Christmas; it has a
lot of the features of the full-sized NES version, as well as a handy
game-save feature that lets you continue long sessions.....
I could use a spoiler or two concerning the *very* end. For those who
don't want to know what you confront, I've hidden my query behind a
form-feed.
Oh, a glutton for punishment, are we? ;^)
After Pit is given the three treasures, he has to fly all through the
Sky Palace till he finally gets to the room where the baddie, King
Orcos, awaits. My first question is: has anyone found a good way of
wasting this guy without taking too much punishment in return? It
takes a lot of hits to finally destroy him; in the course of this
battle, I lost a lot of my life units. And as if this isn't bad
enough......
The palace shakes itself to the ground, and you have to confront a
GIANT King Orcos - one that stands taller than two Game Boy screens!
This biiiiig bad dude is the one I haven't yet killed, and I would
appreciate ANY hints or tips that would help me toast him. I have
tried flying high (not easy!) and blasting at his head and eyes, but
have twice run out of life units before succeeding. Help!

P.S. I am running at maximum power (eight arrows)
