732.0. "Lolo 3" by BRAT::SMITH (Never say never, I always say.) Fri Feb 28 1992 08:12

    	I called HAL America yesterday, and they said they'll be shipping
    	Lolo 3 around the middle of next month (the first batch back in
    	November of last year sold out fast). You can order it	directly
    	from them for $44.95 plus $2.50 for shipping and handling, which
    	also includes a "hint book". You can use one of those $5 rebate
    	coupons from Nintendo, too. I'm looking forward to this game! I
    	asked about a Lolo for the Super NES and they said they're contem-
    	plating a Lolo 4 for it.

732.1I have this one. it's tough!STUDIO::COLAIANNITue Mar 17 1992 14:2310
    I bought this game last November down in Georgia. I think the town the
    Mall was in is called Kennesaw. It was a Captron store.

    This version is tough when you get through a few of the worlds! So
    tough in fact, that we stopped playing it! I think we got through the
    first 6 worlds, and then had a really tough time figuring them out. The
    guy in the store said it was really hard, but I thought he was
    exagerating! NOPE! It's tough! Hmmmm maybe it's time to tackle this one
    again. It still has the password feature, but it's 16 characters long
    now!
732.2Level 8?BROKE::PROTEAUJean-Claude ProteauSat Jan 02 1993 17:172

    Curious if you got past level 8. We're stuck there somewhere.

    I finished each of the Lolo games. You should tell us the password
    where you are stuck when requesting help, so that others can get to
    that screen easily.

732.4Stuck on level 9 room 4BROKE::PROTEAUJean-Claude ProteauSat Jan 09 1993 18:1117

    Yep, thanks.

    We're now stuck on level 9 room 4.

    We can get all the hearts, but end up at the bottom right of the
    screen (the trunk is at the top middle) with no safe way up. We
    could leave the heart next to the trunk for last, but that makes
    no difference when trying to get the bottom right heart.

    This room has 6 hearts, 3 skulls, and 3 four-way zappers, a
    rectangular slab of water in the center and a L-shaped body of
    water toward the bottom right.

    We haven't thought of any way to make use of the bottom right skull.

    Re .4:

    You are pretty close to finishing that room; you just need to think
    some more about the blocks in the bottom right. Here are a couple of
    clues:

    You need to use all three blocks.

    You can use the skull to get under the blocks.

    If you still cannot figure it out, let me know and I will enter
    detailed instructions.

732.6That did the trickBROKE::PROTEAUJean-Claude ProteauWed Jan 13 1993 19:574

    Thanks, with your help we got past level 9 room 4.

    It was much easier your way than mine
732.7Shtuck on Level 15/2BROKE::PROTEAUJean-Claude ProteauWed Feb 10 1993 19:3329

    Now we're stuck on level 15 room 2. Just a bunch of snakes (or
    whetever they are).

    You get 6 shots from the hearts on this level: 4 from the upper right
    clsuter of 4 hearts, and 2 from the heart in the island with the
    broccoli head (medusa?). It seems we need 7 shots: 1 to move the
    topmost snake to the right over the medusa; 1 to turn the rightmost
    snake into an egg to push him to the right in the water; 1 to turn the
    snake on the island into an egg to push him under the medusa; 1 to
    turn the rightmost snake into an egg a second time to get the heart on
    the island; two to blow away one of the siamese snakes at the bottom; 1
    to turn the other into an egg to go get the remaining bottom hearts and
    to push the heart framers out.

    We tried for over an hour to see if we could get the island heart
    using only two shots instead of 3, but the egg in the water
    disintegrates too quickly to be able to move the snake egg, get the
    heart and hippety hop back over the water.

    A cry for help from a destitute family at Witt's End. (O.K. so I'm
    embellishing a little!)

    Never mind.

    My wife had a flash of inspiration last night and we got through level
    15/2.

    Has anyone finished Lolo III ??? If you have, could you respond with
    the code for the last puzzle... We just want to beat it (the easy way)
    to see the final scene.

    Please...
