722.0. "Captain Skyhawk" by NEWOA::DALLISON (Full-on robot chubby) Mon Jan 27 1992 02:21

Anybody seen this game (sorry if there is already a note, I did a
    dir/title=blahblah but couldn't find it).

Anyway, in this game, you are Captain Skyhawk, an elite pilot flying
some new jet fighter and your job is to basically shoot anything that
moves. If you see anything that doesn't move - still shoot it!

You have four enemy bases to destroy, two scientists to pick up, two
supply drops to make and then you destroy the space statio. The plot is
a bit more elaborate than that but thats the jist of it.

On first impressions I though it was brilliant, but after two hours
playing I completed 7 of the 9 missions. The graphics are rather 3d-ish
and you can do some nifty low flying and rolls but after a while you
realise that there is nothing more to than that. Even the choice of
various types of weapons (which aren't *that* much use) didn't hold my
    interest for long.

    Price: 29.99 (UK)

Verdict : A Brilliant idea that could have been much better had some
more thought and variety gone into to.

    Score : 7/10

Picked it up for my son few months back for about $10 (US).
Not a bad game, sorta like the old RIVER RAID for Atari bit
plays much better (good ol's NES graphics).
