714.0. "The UK Nintendo scene" by NEWOA::DALLISON (Der Tartmeister) Mon Jan 13 1992 03:23

Excuse me if there is already a similar note but...

How many UK players are there out there ? just thinking whether its worth
setting up a 'lending' club, so we can try each others game out - that way
if we like them we can go out and buy them for ourselves (ie: eliminate
    the risk factor).

So, are there still any UKers out there ?

Well, here's another UK Nintendo fan.

Only got a GameBoy, I'm afraid, but it's a start!

You'd be surprised how many people don't even know that this conference
    exists!

There are more. My eldest son has a Gameboy, my youngest an NES. Having said
that, we're having to fight off the neighbourhood from borrowing the games
they play with all the time!!!

    And another.....

I bought my NES a year ago with SMB II. Great game, but I haven't had
the time to get further than the end of world 5. I also have Rad Racer,
Life Force and SMB I, the latter being given to me fairly recently so
I'm concentrating on this when I have the time.

I think it's Blockbuster Video - the one with no car parking inside 100 yards -
on the Oxford Road. Just outside the "Broad Street Mall" - which used to be
called something i'd never mention in front of american viewers!

Hello fellow Nintendo-noters in the UK, I have a question or two for
	you:

Is there any good mail order stores in the UK that would be willing
to sell and deliver Nintendo games to somebody abroad (Finland)?

How much do the Nintendo games normally cost in the UK?

I ask this becouse the games here Finland are so extremely expensive
that I think it might be worth it getting them from there via mail
        order.

714.21Born Again Gameboy UserSEDSWS::MANSFIELDWed Apr 29 1992 07:038
I've just dug my Gameboy out of retirement, it's been living in a box
in the loft since moving house last year. So far, I only have 2 games,
Tetris and Choplifter II. My wife is addicted to Tetris so I hardly get
a look in, however, as my interest has been rekindled, I am curious
about available games. Are there any good adventure types around? Is
the Star Trek game any good?
     Thanks in advance
    		Nick.
