669.0. "Final Fantasy Legend (Gameboy)" by KERNEL::LOAT (Time for me to go away,get a new name...) Fri Sep 27 1991 15:17

    Is anyone out there playing The Final Fantasy Legend on the Gameboy?

    Excellent role-playing game, even though the price was a bit high, but
    the playing area is so vast, I think it's worth it!

    Now I'm stuck!

    I've got to the fifth floor of the tower, but now I'm stuck! I've found
    the floating island, and visited all of the large islands, but what
    now? I can't find the airseed, and some-one says don't visit the old
    man, and others tell you to! I've looked everywhere for the Blue Dragon
    (under the sea) but no luck so far!

    Help?

    Steve.

669.1Blue orb in hand but still needs helpSOLVIT::JAFFEThu Oct 03 1991 17:216
    Steve of -.1 and I are talking but I am a little ahead of him and need
    help. I solved the riddle, or thought I did on level 5. Using the blue
    orb, I still can't get the darn door open to the higher levels. Help
    would be greatly appreciated.

669.2Getting there...slowly!KERNEL::LOATTime for me to go away,get a new name...Fri Oct 04 1991 08:2213

    Joel.

    Got the airseed, and then went exploring. This game is just getting
    bigger and bigger! The monsters are now getting a bit harder, but
    nothing that a fire spell can't cope with, and with the money I've
    made, all of my party have at least 350 hp, and the humans have got 99
    agility and 99 strength!

    Now to search all of the orbs to find the real one! What a pain!

    Steve.

669.3Creator falls - Great Game for GBSOLVIT::JAFFEMon Oct 14 1991 17:3625
    I have met the Creator on the 23rd floor and have defeated him in
    mortal combat.

    For the game boy RPG finatic, this game is a must. Well structured and
    detailed, the game will provide many days of questing. On a scale of 1
    to 10 I rate:

    Difficulty     6

    Interest level  8

    Complexity of puzzle   7

    Time spent monster bashing for cash Minimal

    Graphics   7.5  good for GB

    Sound 8 Not as annoying as most

    Value for money 9 15.95 at Toys R Us

    If you have problems, give me a call

669.4... back in the earlier stages ...FSOA::OGRENThu Nov 21 1991 19:1714
Hi all,

My 7 year old is stuck and could use some help. Maybe he wants to get into
noting ;^) but he asked me to find out

o How do you kill King Sword?

o How do you put the stuff on the statue of hero?

o Who are the best "gise"?

Thanks for the help!

Eric (for Jonathan)
669.5early manuversSOLVIT::JAFFEMon Nov 25 1991 12:3614
    The book explains 3 different parties that will work well together. My
    first time through, I went with 4 humans. The second time I used a
    monster and a mutant. The 4 human party is the easiest for a youngster
    to understand although it is a higher costing party to outfit. Killing
    King Sword and putting the armor on the statue is easy routine stuff. I
    suggest that you read the book for him and check for overlooked
    methods. My only thought is that he must collect all missing parts of
    the statue, enter the square where the figure is, and select and give
    each one over. As you try and exit the square, you will meet and have
    to defeat a bad guy.

    Call me if he needs additional help, and I'll plug my cartridge in and
    try to duplicate his situation.

669.6Got it.FSOA::OGRENMon Dec 02 1991 09:147
Thanks Joel. I thought these might be routine puzzles - this means I'll have
to become re-adicted to Nintendo to get him there ;-)! I'll read the FFL
booklet, pass your reply to Jonathan, and let you know how it turns out.

Off to King Sword ... thanks again,

Eric
