Magician is out. As usual, I've just taken a brief look at it. It
seems like some role-playing/adventure, some action, and a few puzzles.
It looks pretty good, at least in the first few scenes.

Re .2:
Here's a quicky review; I'm remotely connected now and can't spend much
time on this; more later (remind me if I forget). Magician is good --
original concept, interesting puzzles and things to do -- but it gets
tedious. In some aspects, the game is crippled; it requires the player
to replay a scene trying to get it perfect. For example, the player
can easily be poisoned from several sources, but the antidote is not
always readily available. The number of saves is limited. I played
for a while, but it got to be harder to play than it was worth.
Rent, do not buy.
