| Has anyone finished this game? We're in the "last" world with all the
doors and can't seem to get anywhere. Any hints at all would be
appreciated.

592.2 | after Telos,there is a ....? | POLAR::WHITTALL | | Fri Mar 15 1991 19:33 | 9 |
| It is quite the game alright. I've made it as far as Telos and have
been there for the past three days. Telos is like a game on its own
there's so much to it.There are more doors in Telos then your could
shake a stick at and that turned out to be the clue to finish the game,
the way to the finish is not through a door but through a wall. If you
throw bombs toward the walls you will eventually find out where the
secret pass is. I'll leave it at that so as to not spoil it too much.
I would highly recommend this game to anybody who likes to do some
thinking to figure on the quest type games.

| HELP!
I'm completely stuck on this game!
I've got to the point where you are inside the computer and have to get
past the various force fields. How on earth do you get past the last
one? I've picked up the gun along the way, but I figure I've missed
something that will help me get past the force fields. I'd appreciate
any help on this as it looks like a good game and I've barely got into
it yet!
Thanks

| Re .3:
Hmm, you have discovered the second teleport location on Cyberia, yes?
I just replayed it and did not have too much trouble. I do not think
you need any special devices. Did you reach the teleporter, where it
transports you to inside the computer? If so, there is something you
need to do in there. Read below.
Did you see the little beads? I think there are three or so, each with
those force field lines on either side of it. You should shoot those
little beads. You can probably do it from outside the force fields.
When you shoot the last bead, the force fields will go off.
Let me know if you need more help.

| thanks for the reply..with your help I've managed to get through to the
next world. In this world somebody has nicked off with my computer and
I'm chasing it to get it back before it's converted to an 'evil
computer'. It's taken me ages to master those bubbles you have to jump
on, but I've finally managed to catch up with the computer. What I need
to know is, what do I do now? The instructions at the beginning of the
world said "find me, pick me up, then teleport back before they convert
me to an evil robot". Do I literaly have to pick up the computer? If
so, how do I do it...I've tried pressing all sorts of buttons but I
can't do it. Basically, I need to know how to stop the computer being
converted.
Any help would be appreciated.
Kath (who obviously isn't any good at this game!)

That world took me a long time to master. Yes, you actually have to
pick up the computer. I don't remember how. Check the instructions to
see if there is some button-combination you are supposed to use to pick
things up. You might or might not have to kill the enemies at the end.
I seem to recall the player's character picking up the computer and
holding it over their head, but I'm not sure. Once you have got the
computer, teleport back to the ship.
I'm afraid I really don't remember this part very well; if you can't
find a way to get the computer, I suggest asking the Nintendo
counselors, at 1-206-885-7529.

| In order for you to save your computer, you must stop the conveyor belt.
I don't think you'd like any more details than that. By the way,I
finished the game quite a while ago. The last world is a real challenge
to figure out and the game has a nasty little twist at the end too.If
anybody hears of a part two version I'd love to try it.

| I've finally managed to complete that world....I rang the Nintendo
hotline in the end.
I'm now trying to get through Volcania. I've managed to get to the end
of the upper world, but whenever I go down the craters I can't get any
further, and I can't get out either so I've got to teleport. The last
crater looks a bit more promising, but I'm still stuck and can't get
out as I'm boxed in. How to you get to this lower world?
Thanks

You can't finish Volcania until you have the teleport disk. That's
later in the game; try the other worlds now.

was some crystals. When I try to get through Turvia I get stuck at the
first 'water jump' when that damn fish comes down and hits me on the
head every time....is it possible to do this without some help?
I'm stuck now cos I've not got anything to help me through Volcania and
I can't get past that bit in Turvia. Am I going about this the right
way?
Thanks

As I recall, one's first impression of Turvia is that only one
direction is passable; I do not remember if it is left or right. But
if you look around, you'll find a way to travel a bit in the other
direction first, and I think there is something useful that way.

| I've now got the gun that fires upwards from Turvia, and the crystals
from Sauria. I've now got a couple of queries about Turvia.
1) If I go left from the start (ie in he direction heading towards the
gun) I come across a small gap in the floor with bubbles coming out of
it. If I fall down there then I can see an underground world, but I
always die. Is it possible to avoid dying here?
2) If I go right, I can sometimes get past that fish that tries to get
me on the head. Here I find the only alternative is to fall down a gap
in the floor. Here I move right into a second screen (killing everything
in sight!) but I just come to a dead end. What do I do here?
An additional query about Sauria:
When in the bit where you have to pick up keys, I can see an extra bit
of 'energy' behind a locked gate. I haven't figured out a way to get to
it with a key. Is it possible?
Thanks

I never figured out how to do that. Maybe you could get the final key
and then jump back to the gate. I was able to get the final key,
through it over near the gate, and shoot crystal bombs to move the key
into the lock, but I could not jump back myself. Maybe by going over
to the right and up, and then left and up, and then left you could get
there, but it would require jumping at just the right instant. Or
maybe you could pass one of the earlier gates without using a key, by
jumping high enough. I don't know.
> Is it possible to avoid dying here?
I do not think so. There is something else to the left. If you keep
going to the left, you will come to a building. It is upside-down, as
is the rest of the world. You can go inside by pushing "up" in the
game world -- down on the control pad.
> Here I move right into a second screen (killing everything in
> sight!) but I just come to a dead end. What do I do here?
It is not a dead end. There are small passages there. You cannot go
through them yourself. Here are some spoilers:
There are some friends there to help you.
Go for a ride.
Jump on one of the slugs and crouch down. It will carry you.

592.15 | Turvia again | BLKPUD::SHAWK | | Thu Nov 07 1991 09:39 | 17 |
| On Turvia, I've now managed to get through the passage by riding
the slug, gone into a world where I have to get a bone for the
dog, and rode a bubble to take me to another part of the
underground world. I've been running around this part and going
in circles. I've discovered some kind of device that can get rid
of one kind of enemy (the white blobs that shoot up and down
between to points) and I can shoot the other enemies, but I don't
seem to be getting anywhere. One part of this world consists of 3
of these white blobs, and just past them there is a blue blob
(don't know what it is) in mid air. I this something vital? I
can't see any way of getting it.
What do I do now?
Thanks

After getting the bone for the dog, do you get some other object,
perhaps something the person in the hut gives you? After you have got
that, you want to get all the way out of the underground, I think.
Make sure you have ridden the bubbles all the way up. Then go back to
the mayor in the building on the surface.

| I've tried going into the hut again, but I can't find any more objects.
I just get a message telling me to stay with the cow, which I do. I use
the cow to jump on top of the hut and then jump on the spring that
bounces me back up to the upside down underground world.
Surely there must be something useful in that underground world..if
not, what is the point of it being there?

Did you get across the water in the underground world? There is some
object over there; you might have to pick it up by pressing a button.
It might be worth trying to go back to the mayor and seeing if in fact
you do have the necessary device.
I'll play Turvia again this weekend and see if I can figure it out.

yes, I did go across the water and pick up the bone. I brought it back
over the water and threw it at the dog. The dog seemed to like this so
I thought it was the right thing to do. I've just thought that I will
try and take the bone into the hut...I wonder what happens when I do
that?
Any help in this world would be appreciated.

That thing in mid-air is vital; it is the gravity-reversal do-hickey.
Before reaching the room with that device, there was another
little-bitty device near the top of the screen. This little device is
near the top of the screen. It is left from where the mid-air device
is, on the same screen where the bubble brought you to. It might be
hard to see; it is just a couple of dots. (BTW, I tuned the colors on
my television screen; it really brings out the detail in many games.)
You can pick up the little device. When you drop it, it shoots
something "upward" (down on the screen). If you drop it under the
device in mid-air, the device will "fall", and you can then pick it up
and take it to the mayor.
Re .17:
> Surely there must be something useful in that underground world..if

It is just that the way the world is set up, you enter the underground
world from the left side of a gap in the world above, and you emerge on
the right side of the gap -- all you have to do in the underground
world is get out of it.

the roof and then straight up from there.

592.22 | more help needed | BLKPUD::SHAWK | | Mon Jun 29 1992 05:32 | 16 |
| After a long rest from this game, I've decided to have another attempt.
I'm now in Vernia and have managed to travel through the underground
world and ride the balloon up to the sky world. I get through to the
end of this where I see two doors. If I go through a door I end up in a
room with 2 robots walking up and down. They appear to be winding each
other up with a key. My problem is how to get past these. I've tried
shooting them and throwing crystals at them. I can't jump over
them....how do I get past them?
Also, are there any short cuts in this game - it's a real pain having
to start right from the beginning when I die. I noticed a tree with
steps in it in the first part of the world, but they don't seem to lead
anywhere. Have they got a use?

You have to keep at least one of those robots so busy/damaged that they
don't have time to wind each other up; then you can knock out the other
one.
Sorry, I don't know of any shortcuts.

I'm stuck on Volcania. The lava's tough. I was thinking the energy
disk would be helpful but I can't find it. I've been through all the
worlds but Volcania and Telos. Did I miss it on one of those worlds
or is it yet to be found? Any help on finding the disk or a way over
the lava pools would help. The instructions say the energy disk allows
you to flaot over dangerous areas for a short time so I thought it
would work weel on Volcania.
any help appreciated, Robin
