Has anyone heard of a new game system called Neo Geo? I just saw it
for the first time in Babbages (Santa Ana, CA). It sells for $649 and
uses the same game cartridges as the Neo Geo units in the arcades. I
asked for a demo, and was extremely impressed with it. It really does
have far better graphics than any other home system.
From what I saw, here are some specs on it:
CPU: 68000 plus a Z-80 for voice synthesis and sound channels
Games contain between 40 and 60 Megabytes of data and cost $200 a
piece.
Right now they are only selling in a few stores. I imagine it will
eventually catch on and become the new high end home system. It's
pretty expensive, but then again I know people who buy cheap PCs just
to play games, and they end up spending at least that much.

I've heard of it.... From what I've heard, If you get a $20 memory card
you can save games, say from an arcade version, and take it home, anc
continue o the home version.
