505.0. "Wolf Pack" by RAYBOK::DAMIANO (The mark of the beast) Thu Aug 23 1990 12:44

While reading the sunday paper, I came across an ad for a game called
"Wolf Pack". The copy was sparse, but evidently it's similar to
"Silent Service" except you get a choice of either being the U-boat
commander or the destroyer captain. This sounds like it could have some
interesting possibilities. Has anyone played this game, and if so,
please enter a play review? I would like to know more!

505.1Can't find it...RAYBOK::DAMIANOThe mark of the beastTue Aug 28 1990 13:2821
Well, I guess nobody's heard of this game, or at least doesn't care to
    comment.

FWIW, I went to The Warehouse (the store advertizing it) to read the
box. Of course, they hadn't any in stock, hadn't ever had any in stock,
and called four of thier other stores who said the same thing. I showed
them the copy of thier ad, but they hadn't a clue. They did issue me a
raincheck, and asked me to check back in a week. They guessed that the
supplier of the game had made arrangements with The Warehouse corporate
offices to be included in the circular but then either couldn't deliver
or ran into some snags to hold up delivery. The general feeling I got
from the staff was "don't hold your breath".

If anybody has any information on this game, I'd be interested in
hearing it. The photo in the ad was too small to make out the
manufacture of the game, and it does have the gold "licenced by
Nintendo" logo on the front, so the possibilities are fairly large.
