One of the guys at the local Nintendo store mentioned that
the AD&D game "Pools of Radiance" would soon be in the
stores, having been ported from the pc versions.
Anyone seen it yet? I've hungrily looked at the wide
array of pc games, including the AD&D series at a
local software store, and frankly this series looks
terrific.
Input?

If this game is completely translated from the PC, then it will be a
very good one for adventure lovers. I have played (and beaten) Pool of
Radiance for the PC as well as other AD&D games (Curse of the Azure
Bonds, Riders of Krynn) and they are involved and unpredictable as far
as the events that take place. They also faithfully follow the AD&D
rules and format that other games try to copy, but can not duplicate
because of copyright stuff...
Hopefully, it will be worth the wait. My only concern is the size of
the game may cause them to take short cuts... Hopefully not to the
detrement of the game...
