At the Seattle Power Festival (see 402.21), in the "Power Walk," I
tried a new game called "Adventure in the Magic Kingdom."
This game is based on Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney
World. In addition to seeing many of the park landmarks (e.g., the
Mark Twain), you can actually "ride" some attractions. I remember
five: Space Mountain, Autopia, Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of
the Carribean, and the Haunted Mansion. Each attraction is a test of
skill. I didn't make it through any, but Mickey was always there to
encourage me to try again.
The object of the game was to unlock Snow White's castle so that the
parade could proceed. You have to round up all six keys. Part of this
involved talking to park employees and answering Disney trivia
questions.
For any Disneyphiles (like me), who have a NES, this game will be a
must. Availability is listed as "soon."

Rented this last night for my son (hee hee hee) between us we
were able to get 4 of the 6 keys. Thunder Mountain Railroad,
Autopia, Haunted Mansion & the last from the people in the park.
This was not so easy - but much better that Mickey Mousecapades
in our book.
Well worth a try from the rental store.

| 478.2 | Has anyone Completed This? | DEMSUP::BROUILLET | 1990-A new beginning! | Tue Sep 18 1990 20:38 | 18 |
Hi, I just got this game and I am finding it addicting to a certain point. I got 4 of the 6 keys - haven't concurred the Haunted Castle or the Pirates Ride as yet... Was wondering if it would be a good idea to have one of the power controllers as I have only the controls that came with the game and my screen goes fuzzy a lot and it seems that I can't jump very far, of course if I gave this to my grandson, he'd probably complete it in a day... since you have to start from scratch each time you power off. It can be frustrating, but it is fun. Has anyone completed it. Oh what are some good games for kids 4-8 (both boys and girls)? I have birthdays and XMAS coming and all the "kids" (adults included) love Nintendo... (me included!) L
| 478.3 | Not a spactacular ending! | DEMSUP::BROUILLET | 1990-A new beginning! | Wed Oct 03 1990 20:03 | 16 |
Well, I completed this game this past weekend. My 3 oldest grandchildren (ages 10, 9, 8) came over and they played it, never concurred it as they got frustrated with it, but they got 5 keys, and I killed it by doing a start instead of a continue so they had to start all over again and watching them I got the jist of how to approach the Pirates Island and the Haunted Mansion - those were the two that had me stumped... between us (the 2 boys and myself) we got 5 keys then they had to leave... so I played the strategy that I learned from them and got the 6th key within 10 minutes after they left... it's a fun game, but doesn't have a save feature other then keeping the keys with the continue option... but the 10 and 9 year olds had a blast with it, my granddaughter was a little coerced, by her brother and cousin with it... I was disappointed with the ending thou! Linda

This game is cute but we finished it in one night. I'm sure glad that
we rented it. I almost bought it. It was between this and Crystalis.
I definitely made the right decision by buying Crystalis. That game
is Super. The best RPG that I've played so far.
Ending of this game is very dissapointing.
