451.0. "Abadox" by BRAT::SMITH (Never say never, I always say.) Mon Apr 23 1990 16:06
I rented Abadox the other day. The game is a "shooter" type
from Milton Bradley that takes you into the guts of some gi-
gantic creature. The graphics were pretty good, but I think
I'm still too much of a novice for this game. I played it
for a total of 4 hours or so, and couldn't get through Stage
2, which was the creatures esophagus. There are a lot of
things (parasites and stuff) coming at you, sometimes in a
somewhat windy and tight passage, and I just couldn't dodge
everything to get by. If you like shooting games, you might
want to check this one out. If you die in a Stage, you go
back to the beginning of that stage, not the start of the
game. But no password (I hate that), so once you power-down,
it's back to "square one".

451.1 | yuck! | UNYEM::SAPPB | you got the actung baby, uh-huh | Tue Apr 21 1992 11:53 | 12 |
| I rented this over the weekend and was so happy I didn't buy it. The
player control on this game really sucks and there is so much crap
coming at you its more frustrating than challenging. The standard fly
one way while enemies are coming at you from the opposite way has been
done a million times before and the fighting inside a gigantic being
aspect was already done in "lifeforce".
I was able to get to stage 3 after 1 afternoon of play but overall
felt I had wasted $2 on this rental. I'd recommend pong on an atari
2600 before this turkey.
