428.2Solar Striker: A brief synopsis...LUDWIG::PHILLIPSMusic of the spheres.Thu Feb 14 1991 14:2921
    Re. details

    Sorry for the long delay, I only got the game last week .... ;^)

    Solar Striker is your basic scrolling shoot-em-up, a la Star Force,
    Zanac, Terra Cresta, Xevious and a zillion others....

    Your ship has mobility throughout the whole screen. Power-ups appear
    infrequently to increase your firepower. Simply holding down the A or
    B button gives rapid fire; no need to wear your thumb out. As far as I
    know, you get a bonus ship for every 50K.

    The "landscape" you fly over is different for each level; when I got
    hosed in level 3, I was flying over highways and was getting shot at by
    killer trucks (no, I'm not kidding....)

    As a shoot-em-up, I rate it only average; many games of this type have
    added features that this game *could* have included. Still, it appears
    to be the only Gameboy game of this type around.
