I looked for a note for this game and not finding one decided to start one. ATF Stealth is a game where you fly a Stealth fighter and shoot down a number of other fighters. The number of fighters you must shoot down corresponds to mission number you are on. With the fighter you can do rolls, loops, and anything else you might desire, but the ground graphics are really weak. Landing and takeoffs are from a side view rather than from the cockpit, a drawback in my book. The fighters you chase seem to have tighter turning ability than you, and can get away a little too easily. The game seems hard when first starting, but once you figure out a trick or two the missions are easily beaten. I'd give this game a 4 out of 10 and would strongly recommend renting over buying. Now for my question. I've managed to clear out 30 missions in this game and the last mission had 62 fighters, plus the bonus ones. Has anyone gotten any further? Is there an ending to this game? To get thru the 30 missions it took me the better part of an afternoon and evening, and I finally flew my plane into the ground just to turn the game off. tom

I know what you mean.I bought it awhile back, and sometimes I regret I did.I thought I would be a little better than what it is.I only made up as far as 12 or 14.My tolorance with it runs thin. So,As SPIKED::SWEENEY said, rent it.Don't buy.To be honest,It's not worth the 30-35 bucks.Just my opinion thou. Re. rental Okay, I rented it. But the abbreviated instructions included with the rental only say that you need a "specific angle-of-attack and airspeed when landing" - but they *don't* tell you what AOA and airspeed!!!! I've tried several combinations and only succeeded in flying into the ground. Help! --Eric-- P.S. Based on what I've seen so far, I think I'll stick with Top Gun II anyway..... |
