394.0. "Monster Party" by CSSE::BRISTER () Mon Jan 08 1990 08:18

    My son just bought a game(his money) called Monster Party. Anyone else
    played this game. We have found it pretty difficult. Mainly because we
    get killed off too fast. Have not made it past level 1. Any hints or
    comments are welcome.

394.1A few tips...CASPRO::MINEZZIMon Jan 08 1990 13:0914

    I rented this game once... I remember that where you get a capsule from
    you can walk off the screen walk back on (to make the monster reappear)
    and get another capsule from the same monster.

    Also, when you are the monster, it pays to just fly over as much as you
    can.

    The rooms that you enter to kill the bosses, you can walk out and back
    into these and randomly get additional bonuses.

    Hope this helps...

    Ron,

    Where around Shirley can you rent the games?

394.3Shirley (my kinda town)CASPRO::MINEZZIWed Jan 10 1990 13:3327

    Hey, I lived in Shirley for about 15 years!!! Nice town huh? I loved
    it.   O.K.  where to rent....

    Music Forum in Fitchburg (but you have to be a member)

    Just about any video store is renting Nintendo games now. You would
    probably want to stake out where you can join for little or no initial
    fee. I know that there is a video store in Ayer by the MacDonalds...I
    used to be a member there (old converted store...I can't remember the
    name). You might check there, he is probably renting games now.

    Make sure you get the 'scoop' on their rules to rent. because I rented
    from Video Paradise in Gardner for 'a week' and had to bring the game
    back in 3 days...I guess their rules define 'a week' as Mon-Fri or
    Thu-Sun. Well I rented it on Tuesday, and had to turn it in on Friday.
    Last time I rented there! I now rent from the Music Forum in Gardner,
    their policy is $2 a day or $7 for the week (but new games are $10 a
    week, until they calm down.)

    Also, the Music Forum will be getting into renting Sega Genisys games
    soon.

    How are you doing on Monster Party anyway? I hope your doing better.

    Bye,
    Ron.
