320.0. "Vegas Dream" by 17310::CRANE () Wed Sep 06 1989 19:09

Having been known to make an occasional trip to Las Vegas, health
reasons you know, I was wondering if anyone's played Vegas Dream
and if it is any good. I saw a write-up that made it look interesting,
but that's easy enough to do. Any know anything about it?

I'm interested in casino-type games. Is that what Vegas Dream is?

Yes, from what I've been able to find out about it. Looks like poker,
blackjack, slots and roulette. I'd like to find something with craps,
if you might know of a game like that.

According to what I have read concerning this game it looks like you
would be able to play blackjack, slots, roulette, keno (not poker) and
some side type of action ( which truly was not defined).
Has anybody seen this game anywhere ?

I rented Vegas Dream last night. It contains four games, blackjack,
roulette, slots, and keno and has two modes of play with one to four
players. If you select Vegas Dream mode then at random times people
will talk to you and make offersthat you can accept or reject.
If you accept then a scene will appear then a news announcer will
make a statement on the event which may be positive or negative
(means you make or lose money) and then puts you back at the game
you were playing. If you select One Spot mode then it
is strickly gambling with no interruptions from outsiders.
I will try to explain a little about each game.

    Blackjack

This game has a flaw that I personnally found aggravating. In the one
player mode the player and dealer are not shown at the same time with
the result of having it appear as if a camera was panning back and
forth between the two (I find it hard on the eyes). This is the only
complaint I have about thes games. The play of blackjack is the
standard casino game with no limit on bets.

    Roulette

This is standard casino betting mode with all combinations available
except the combination of 0-00. The manual shows the pay-offs for each
    type of bet.

    Slots

This game has two types of slot machines, the wheels with fruits, bars,
and 7's where you can bet from one to three lines with bets ranging
from $1.00 to $100.00 or the wheels with only bars and the bet is on
    the middle line only.

    Keno

Here you pick anywhere from 1 to 15 numbers, then the house will show
the 20 numbers that were drawn and pay off on the quantity you matched.
For example if you choose six numbers then the house will pay if you
had three, four, five, or six numbers that matched those drawn.

    Other features

You are allowed to change the game you are playing at any time or quit
if you wish. If you quit while playing the Vegas Dream mode it will
show a lonnnnnnng password and if you quit while in the One Spot mode
then it will show the percentage of money that each player holds. If
more that one person was playing (Vegas version) then each one gets a
    password.

At any time one player can give another player some money, which is
convenient if one player goes broke.

Hope this information is helpful for you gamblers out there.

If anyone out there is still reading this note... I rented Vegas Dream
over the weekend and it was really helpful in figuring out the best way
to bet on roulette. I think .4 was mistaken though, the combination bet
    0-00 can be made.
