Hi
I just purchased the game a couple of nights a go
and nee some help on killing 2 bosses/monsters on level
one.
I think I've been in all the rooms on level 1 so far
and I think I have found all the hidden guns and power
my problem is I can't figure out how to kill the
thing that looks like a purple brain with little brains
flying around it. Also there is an stone Idol at the far
left on the bottom of the screen that I think if its killed
will lead to stage 2. I can't kill either one of these no
mater what weapon I use. And that Idol keep killing me with
whatever it is that he shoots out of his mouth.
Any hint/spiolers will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. The game looks good so far,it would be better if I could
get past those bosses.

re.-1 You need to use grenades on the Boss at the end of stage
1. The face that guards the entrace to stage 2 can't be killed till
you get the Hyper cannon from the stage 1 Boss.

R.-1 If I'm not mistaken the a button is for bombs/grenades while
the b button is for the gun.

| yep, the A button is the grenade. I blew the brain away no problem
with rapid fire...ha ha.
Thanks for the tip...I should have realized it tho', cuz the creatures
guarding the entrance to the brain die with grenades...

Hi,
I need a little help in getting to stage 3
How do you kill the boss in stage 2. It's the one that has
a bunch of squares that keep appearing. Once you shoot and
disable them one more appear. What weapon should I be using to
get pass these things?

The Boss your describing sounds like what I call the tanks
at the end of stage 3. The way I have done in this guy is to get
my gun powered to max or near max. You now have firepower similar
to the wave beam in Metroid. The Boss at this level now has little
chance to multiply if your timing is right.

Hi
I just picked up this game again after not playing it in some
time and I still haver trouble defeating those square bosses
in stage 3. Is there an easy way to do this?
Also is there a way to keep continuing the game even after
the alloted 3 or 5 continues are used up???? I always run
out of continues before I can kill the 3rd boss.

| My son has reached level 3. He has beaten the Boss and needs to

| Be sure your H level is built up at least 3 or 4 squares. (It's
on the rover power scale) You build it up with the 'H's of course.
Then, push up on the joystick and press A. (or B, I forget, but
push the joystick up first)
I'd like to know how to continue without restarting also....

| I'd also like to know how to get more continues as I can only get
to the 4th stage & eventually run out. Also, does anybody have any
spoilers as how to do in the Frog Monster at the end of Stage 4?

the way I killed the frog is Load up on the gun power. Then the frog
spits three things out one a long tounge, bounsing balls, and a fire
ball. every time he opens his mouth shoot the grenades and gun fire
from the side of him. this is easy until he spits the fire ball. when
he spits the fire ball run all the way to the top this will bring him
to the top so it will be easyer to kill him.

| I am having trouble getting any further than level 2 in Blaster
Master. I can find the 2nd Mutant monster, but seem unable to kill
the son of a gun. I can keep shooting him till the cows come home and
finally go through my 3 lives.....any suggestions on moving on
would be greatly appreciated.

There is an eazy way to defeat him if you can aim good. Use a grenade
and shot it so that it his him directly in his mouth. As soon as the
grenade blows up pause the game. Wait a few seconds and then unpause
the game. This should kill, but if it doesn't then just repeat the
prosess.

I made some spelling errors. So I will type it over for you.

| I just bought this game last week (was sellinig for $45.00, bought it
on sale at Child World for $19.90). Seems like a great game. You can
tell that it's made by the makers of Batman (Sunsoft).
I need a little help.
In the instructions, it gives you a map of the different stages. I'm
confused though. It shows different doors to get to different stages.
When you get out of the tank, and enter the little door, is that the
entrance into a certain stage, or once in there, (shooting blocks to
look for different ammo, etc) are the doors in there entrances to
other stages? Do you start off in stage one, or are you looking for
an entrance into stage one? I have gone down in what I believe is
water, and if you go to the left, you come up to what looks like a big
standing frog. Is he blocking the entrace to a stage? Directions
aren't too clear.
Another question. When I'm out of the vehicle and shooting blocks to
get ammo, I find bullets which give me "Gun" ammo. I don't see a
difference when shooting though? When GUN shows up on your screen,
is this to be used only when you are out of the tank?

| What you are looking for in each level is a a boss to kill and once you
kill him you recieve a vital part that goes on your vehicle without
this part you cannot proceed to the next level. when you kill the boss
you should look on your map for the entrance to the next level. there
are other doors to go through but what they are for is to allow you to
collect different items you can use in limited supply. if you pick up
certain articles it will increase your laser gun so that your shooting
more and in different patterns. check the instruction book again and
try it again. it is a very good game.

| It seems like they sell it everywhere for $19.xx everywhere now. I was
thinking about picking it up, but I didn't know if it is any good.
There are a lot of questions and spoilers for it in this note, but no
real review. What do you folks think?

| I think it's great. Have only put in about 1.5 hours. Just found
the first boss which I must defeat in order to pass the second boss
that blocks the entrance to stage 2. Now I know what I'm doing.
The graphics are pretty close to Batman. I'd rate them a 8.5
Character playability is good. There is some thinking involved.
You have to search for weapons etc. This game does not lead you
through each level like a SMB. You have to find your own way.
I'd rate the game a 8.5
You could always rent it first to see if you like it.

| I just bought it at the Roswell PACE for $8.99 (this is the price, less
than nine dollars!)
love the game as a fun diversion from link.
But the cheap price may have brought a problem. It's black and white
(with grays.)
Is this correct or do I have a bum cartridge. Once in a while (at first
level boss) I get a little color.
Do you think SUNSOFT would fix or replace?

It should be in color all the time. Maybe cleaning the
contacts would help. If not, it sounds as if it's bad.

| I returned it for a replacement and tried again. Same problem. Tried
another game and it was gray-scale too, so it is the cleaning problem.
Now the game is color all the time, and just as frustrating!!!
Any ideas how to get the level three guardian? Hints and spoilers
welcome at this point.

I'm not sure if this does the level three guardian...but I know this
trick helps wipe out alot of the end bosses...
Spoiler on end bosses follows form feed...
what you want to do is throw a bomb at the boss and then hit pause...
the bomb will keep effecting the boss, wait about 20 seconds (or more)
and release pause. That should wipe him out.

It did not work. Any help? without a true continue it takes so long to

| I know that a non-response means that
1. no one knows
2. no one cares
3. no one has read my request for help.
I can live with that.
But, if anyone knows please let me know. Level three is the one you get
'HOVER' from.
If anyone has access to another games network out there, I would
appreciate it if you would consider expanding this request to that
domain. I don't have any other access.

| Randy...if you look at the beginning of this note 229, one of the
replies states that you need to get your gun power up to kill mutant 3.
I dont think you need hover power to do this? Im at the same point in
the game...trying to kill the squares.... hope this helps

| Guardian 3 will give you hover, (as i read the manual.)
I have gone in with everything (including the tank) at max power and no
go.
I have gotten it to the point where only 4 blocks are left , but no
fewer.
Oh well.

| Randy, I thought you couldnt bring the tank in there, as the doorway
to this area only allows the guy inside the tank to pass thru? I also
thought the main objective of the squares is to kill the one that keeps
glowing and changing positions? To be sure where talking about the same
mutant monster, as I count this is the third mutant monster: the brain
was first, the one with the long arms was second and these boxes was
the third? If im not on the right assumption, and you can give me any
clues, id appreciate it....i also have not been able to kill this
square, and the grenade + the pause doesnt seem to work?

| Bob, you are right. The monster i am talking about is number three, the
grenade and pause does not work and you cannot bring the tank into the
maze.
I only said that about the tank vehicle because I made sure it had max
power, just incase that mattered - it doesn't
I do know that you can only kill a single block when it is 'colored'
and maybe only when flashing, not when it is grayish.
Grenades work best but you have to be so close.
Maybe it is just patience wins out. I got the count down to four once,
but never less.

I was sent a Newsletter from Sun Soft about how to
defeat the 3rd boss your talking about (boss 3, the blocks)
It has a map of how to kill the boss and aslo explains step by step
how to do it.
I will send out a copy to who ever wants one.
Just send me a mail message asking for a copy .

present...how to kill the blocks......I got this game last Xmas and its
now a year letter and im on monster 3? with 5 more to go....im good for
