206.0. "Salamander" by ZGOV05::TGNG () Tue Feb 14 1989 04:06

Have anyone played the game called Salamander. It is a really good
sci fi game, with one or two players mode.

I would like to find out how many levels are there? How do you get
through the third level. Is there any way to get lots of extra ships?

    it, etc.

    Thanks!!!

Well, so far I had only been through three levels. In the first
two levels you are flying through sort of a tunnel and blasting
aliens, and making your ship more powerful. The graphics and music
is extremely good. I am really addicted to the game but it gets
really tough at the third level where you are in a place surrounded
with volcanic like fire and fire birds that come zooming at you.
I am not good at describing but you got to play it to really like
    it.

As to where I got it....I have seen it in States when I was there
last couple of months ago but I was wondering if it had reached
there yet or is it under another name.

Thanks for the info. Haven't seen anything like that yet. Will
keep looking for it. It seems like other places like Japan, etc.
seem to get the new games faster than the U.S.

Keep us informed on any other new N.E.S. games.

    Thanks.

That description sure seems close to LIFEFORCE from Konami.
The end of that cart is easily attainable with the additional lives
feature mentioned in the latest Nintendo Power.
