| In most of the boxes, when you buy the cartridges, is a card that
tells you about Nintendo Power Magazine (which is pretty good).
You can use this card to order the magazine.
Most toy stores (KAY-BEE and TOY'R'US mostly) now carry similiar
game magazines. I just got one called the PLAYERS GUIDE and it is
very similiar to N.P. I also so another magazine in CHILD WORLD.
Good luck,
Scott

have, let me know. There's a card in every issue.

I recieved the inaugural issue (Jul/Aug '88) of Nintendo Power
but did not subscribe to it. Now realizing my mistake I am going
to. Can anybody tell me how many issues are out ? Are these
available at news stands anywhere ?
Have they included any more maps for Super Mario Bros II ? This
is my primary interest right now.

| Re .3:
According to note topic 197, there is a 9 page review of Super Mario
Brothers II in the September/October 1988 issue. Although I have not
indicated a map specifically, multi-page reviews often contain a good
deal of information. (But sometimes they do not.) There are also
hints in the January/February 1989 issue.
There are currently four issues out. They are not available at
news stands. Use the order form in the magazine.

Re .4:
Thanks for the info. Do the later issues over a way to order
back issues? Being so early since it's inception, there should
only be 3 I would need, seeing I have the first.

| Re .5:
I don't recall seeing offers for back issues. You'll need to ask
Nintendo. You may be able to get the Nintendo Power magazines, but the
Fun Club News goes back further, and I know they don't have the first
issue of that available. The magazine evolved from one-color, six
pages to full color and 32 pages or so for the last issue. As you can
imagine, there was not as much information in the early issues as in
the later issues, but there was some.
Don't worry about back issues if you cannot get them; all the
information is available here and directly from the Nintendo game
counselors.

Re .6:
The maps ( or world, zone, room, area layouts ) are the reason
I would like to get the back issues. I am currently at war
with the little bosses in SMBII and only have the first issue
of NP. As you know, this only shows the layouts of world 1:1-
1:3 and 2:1-2:3 . Although they did not get into the level of
detail unvailed in this conference, they do show the entire
area.
After reading through your index (note 197 ?), I noticed
other multi page reviews for SMB II in the Sep/Oct NP. Does
this show any area layout ?
Thanks,
George

Yes, there are maps of some sections in the September/October 1988
Nintendo Power, different ones from the previous issue.

Re .8
Thanks. I've just ordered NP. Is there a map of world 3 ? If
there is would it be possible to get a copy of it through I.O.
mail ?
Thanks,
George (MR03-2/R13)

I would like to thank the anonymous noter who sent me the copy of
world 3 for Super Mario Bros II. Although I am now struggling with
world 4, this will give me a chance to acquire things I didn't find
while I was wearing the blind fold.
Thanks Again,
George
