Yea, I have it. ALthough not a great game, it is kind of fun.
Playing the computer is a waste (I went on a 15-0 clip before I quit) but
against another person the game can be real fun. Nothing like giving
the pile driver on the concrete floor, or sending him agasint the ropes for
the flying elbow....
Anyting in particular you want to know???

No after a little play you learn the moves. Each player has
a special move or two so it takes a while to learn them but after
a few matches you learn where they are.
I'd give it an overall of 6. The game can get boreing, but if you
have alot of people around playing winner goes on it get fun. It's more
of a party type game.

| Yeah, he was not that perfect. He lost pretty quick with my great
skill directing the joystick(and a little bit of rapid fire help...)

100.8 | Great Puma vs. Rapid-fire (Give Puma a chance) | GIAENG::ELSBREE | | Mon Jul 18 1988 20:33 | 8 |
| Great Puma can be beaten easily without rapid fire, as well. Just
choose Star Man and keep giving Great Puma flying cross chops.
After Puma gets a little tired, a body slam or even a back drop
can be executed with little difficulty (and without rapid-fire).

I have been trying to see the Great Puma now for months but I just
can't seem to get by the 8th defense match. Is there something I
don't know? Does it matter who I use for a wrestler? I am going
crazy and won't rest until I see the "Ultimate Wrestler" in action!!
Any help would be appreciated...Also, what is "rapid fire"??

| A spoiler follows for beating Puma....
Another way to beat Great Puma is to pick King Slender. Give Puma 10
back breakers, then keep giving him brain busters and pile drivers.
A sure win! Remeber to never fight Great Puma outside the ring...too
risky.

Puma and what exactly is Rapid Fire?

| I myself have never reached the great PUMA, and I've owned the game
for almost a year. I have been defeated in the 9th defense of the
title. I only get that far using starman. Has anybody made it to
PUMA without a joystick or rapid fire? If so what wrestler did you
use.
Also, I loaned my game to my nephew and he lost the directions of
all the players moves. Unfortunately I hadn't memorized them yet.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone would photocopy them and
send them internal mail to CHESTER ANDERSEN BUO/E23. Name your price.
Thanks

100.13 | Custom Controllers | FORCE::ANDERSEN | | Tue Dec 06 1988 17:44 | 10 |
| re: .11
You have to buy the custom controllers equipped with rapid fire.
What are some of the better custom controllers? I still use the
one that came with the set but am looking into buying one.
Thanks,
Chester

| RE 12:
We borrowed this game from a friend. Good game! I never laughed
as hard as I had when I first started playing this game, in quite some time.
Just watching these guys beat the crap out of each other and relating this
to the "REAL" thing! Not easy to beat using the typical controller!
I used the regular controller when playing. My son isn't thrilled with
this game! It's one of the few games that I can whoop him. He doesn't want
this game in the library.
I've tried to win against the computer using all the characters.
Mabusa's(sp?) Brain Kick is really hard to time perfectly. I also noticed
that the computer doesn't even use the brain kick when he selects the
fighter! I've used Starman allot. I like his flying body smash but when
getting into later defenses all the fighters get CHICKEN and run.
It seems to me that Starman does not have very good stamina. Maybe because
of his weight. I had trouble using the Amazon guy when getting to the later
defenses. I didn't like the idea of biting and chocking other guys either
I guess. The Corn man had no cheers for him with special moves. I wonder
if the crowd is too much against him? I had allot of trouble using the Great
Panther in later defenses also.
The thing about this game is that the farther you get in defenses
the harder it is to win. If you lose once the wrestler you lose to becomes
the easiest to beat after you win the title back. The only times I have
reached the PUMA (successfully defeated twice (first time no witnesses)and
several losses) was when the defense rotation was the same. Each wrestler
in a particular rotation.
I can't help you with instructions. I didn't have any and didn't
have too difficult a time learning the moves. I may have missed some.
Your best chance to get to PUMA is by:
POSSIBLE SPOILER
selecting King Slender as your fighter.
use his specialty to set up other moves.
There are other tactics which you may be interested in. Let me
know if this helps in getting to the GREAT PUMA! And if so how you fared
against him.

100.15 | Oh no! The Pile Driver! | SPIKED::SWEENEY | | Fri Jan 20 1989 08:18 | 11 |
| I hope someone can help me. I just got the Pro Wrestling cartridge sans
instructions. I'm having trouble with the keypad control. Apparently you
can move left, right, up, down with the arrows, and can pin your opponent
when they're down with up arrow. Start pauses, B is for kicks, and A for
punches/grappling. What I haven't figured out is how to get the character
to do throws. Is there a sequence I'm missing? Also, how do you select the
player you want in one person play? Finally, am I missing anything else?
thanks in advance
