| I had the game a long time ago, and I think that you use the
SELECT button to exit the screen your talking of.
I doubt that they will ever update the cartrige, because it
is not on of there best top 10 sellers. I never had luck with trying
to save tracks on Excitebike, and I don't understand how it would
be saved, without a RAM and a battery back-up.

| I think I remember hitting every button on the controller to get
out of the programming screen, and came to the conclusion that it
has must have to do with the position of the cursor ([])..
So you are saying that Mach Rider and Excitebike are both pre-Zelda
(i.e. battery backup/save) I would assume then that the saving and
loading of tracks are only valid for the time the cart is running.
Well, that part doesn't bother me.. I would just like to be able
to create a track and use it in the game itself..
Thanks for you hint.. Will give it another try when I get home tonight.
Frank.

| There is a piece of plastic on the bottom of the Nintendo which comes
off to reveal a row of connectors; someday there may be a device you
can attach there, and it might be a device that lets you save and load
things. Or it might not.

To get out of the programing screen you have to connect the track from
one side of the screen to the other.
