Each of one hundred rounds has parts to be knocked down. Use a
sledgehammer to destroy doors, walls, ladders, and girders. Avoid
monsters of two types. It is necessary to learn how and when the
monsters make decisions and figure out how to get the super-hammer.
Strategy plays a part in trapping and avoiding monsters.
A few rounds are fairly easy; go to each door or wall, hit it, and the
round is over. Some require you to destroy things in a particular
order to avoid being trapped. A few involve tricky timing and
manipulating the monsters. One requires a lot of effort to figure out
and implement a plan to get a special hammer that must be used in the
next round. Each round is between one and two screens in size, with
scrolling up and down as you move up and down.
The game is basically a chase and evade game in a (partial) maze.

In addition to letting you break any wall with one hit, the super
mallet makes you faster. This is absolutely necessary in a certain
round.
Getting the super mallet is a real pain. There is a spoiler below.
First, you get a prize when you hit three certain bombs in a certain
order in some buildings. You have to experiment to figure out which
order and which bombs and which buildings. 94 is the essential one;
you must do it there if you are going to get through 95.
Next, the prize you get varies. It depends on how many times you swung
your mallet since starting the current building or life, whichever is
more recent. For example, swing it three times, get a prize worth a
certain number of points, swing it four times, get a different prize.
Every swing counts, whether it hits anything or not. So to get the
super mallet, count all your swings. When you are ready to hit the
last bomb, swing in the air the correct number of times.
The prizes repeat for each eight swings, so you would count 1, 2, 3, 4,
5, 6, 7, 8, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, . . .
Also, the synchronization varies in each building. I am not sure, but
I think if you take subtract the room number from 101 and figure the
remainder when divided by eight, that gives you the number of swings
you need for the super mallet. So room 94 would require seven swings,
or 15, or 23, or 30, assuming my memory is correct. It might not be.
I think the order in room 94 is to hit the bomb on the left, the bomb
on the bottom, and the bomb on the right. (Are there only three bombs
in 94? If there are more, some should be avoided.) You will have to
swing at other objects in the building, so be sure to count. You also
have to get the monsters away from the last bomb so you can be safe
while making the extra swings.
