    Yay!!! I got Nintendo for Christmas!! I also got a few games wiht
    (thats with) it. One of them is called Section Z. Anyone tried it
    yet?? If so, I could use some help. The instructions that came with
    the game are very vague as far as game play is concerned.
    
    1) How many sections are there to a stage?
    
    2) How many stages are there?
    
    3) How do you retain your weapons? i.e Megamasher, 3 way laser..
       It seems that when you select from your standard issue laser
       to an enhanced weapon and then to another weapon you lose the
       previous weapon, if that makes any sense....
    
    4) Is there a general strategy to use??
    
    Any help would be appreciated.

	There are 60 sections in the game, the best way to go to different
 sections is to use the hidden warps. The best way to get weapons is by killing 
 the metal eaters or finding the hidden doors.

    I have managed to get to section 50 and found that section 49 is
    available thru a secret room off from section 47. The problem that
    I keep running into is that when you get to the end of 49 no matter
    which transport beam you take it always brings you to 57, and from
    57 there is only one beam that is working and it always brings me
    back to 43.. It seems that I am caught is a loop. And its a real
    pain having to fight those nasties thru section 45 everytime. An
    suggestions as to how to get to sections 51 thru 60?

    	I think if you call/write Capcom, they will send you a map to
    the entire game, that might be helpfull for you (?).

	I recently got the Section Z game cartridge.  As part of the game
package there was a map of the sections, their entrances and exits,  what
weapons are contained in each section, (this part is a bit messed up) the
sections which contain generators and transmitters, where to find energy and
hidden passages to other sections.  Without this map I think it would have
taken a while to figure out what to do and where to go.  If you still need
help in finding the way from section 49 let me know and I'll be glad to help.
We (my son and I team up on this one to avoid cramps) have gotten to section
51.  I have made it through this section only once!  The time I did make it I
was low on energy and the monster with the tail didn't have much trouble in
doing me in. I don't own the Advantage but do use the Quickshot joystick when
playing this game.  I don't think you could do much with the controllers
that come with the NES system.  The joystick I use has an auto fire switch
but no slow motion. I have heard that this game is somewhat similar to
Legendary Wings. Has anyone had the chance to compare the two?

    	How about Section Z??? Anybody have any pointers on the game,
    please tell them to me. I called CapCom and they can't send a copy
    of the map as said in the Section Z note.

	O.K.!  Hear it is!  Here is a map of the first 19 sections of 
Section Z.  You should be able to print the map if you extract the note into a
file and use a graphics printer.  Exits from sections are listed as to what
sections they go to when leaving from the top or bottom of a transmitter.
You must fire your weapon in the correct location to find the entrances to
energy rooms and special passages(depicted on the map as bolder lines.)
The total map will take about three of these individual maps.
