30.0. "Phone No. for Nintendo??" by LEROUF::HUFF (This must be room 29....) Thu Dec 03 1987 06:02

    Hi,

    Does anybody know a phone number I can call in the States to talk
    to Nintendo? I want to ask them a couple of questions regards
    international distribution and compatibility.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Richard.

30.2More numbers .....LEROUF::HUFFThis must be room 29....Fri Dec 04 1987 04:4421
    I have contacted Nintendo in the States on the number given in the
    last reply. I got two more numbers from them for European users of
    the NES (although browsing through this file shows them to be few
    and far between or just very quiet).

    For the UK the number to ring is 0533 826666 and ask for Val Blowfield
    For France the number to ring is 1489 22333 and ask for Sildy Mogel

    I can't guarantee the French number as I didn't ring it.

    I am trying to find out if the games available in the States are
    currently available in the UK in shops or by mail order. If not,
    do they plan on ditributing them in the UK in the near future?

    As soon as I find out anymore info I will post it here. Also if
    anybody out there has information which would help please post it
    here also.

    Thanks,

    Richard
30.327 and more comming...LEROUF::HUFFThis must be room 29....Fri Dec 04 1987 09:5010
     I have phoned MATTEL in the UK and they say there are currently
    27 games available for the NES at the moment. They plan to import
    all games currently available in the US (including Zelda) next
    year. When you buy the base system you get Super Mario Bros. with
    it, which, she tells me, is the biggest grossing game for NES at
    the moment, even though Zelda sold more in it's first year.

    Cheers

    Those numbers cost money, try 1-800-422-2602.
    You need a touch tone phone to do anything though.

    It is ususlly busy, but keep trying.

    Talk to the game counclers, they give you great hints and are nice
    people to talk to.

    			    I've talked too em' hundreds of times,

30.5For the numbers, they are a changin'PROSE::FLAHERTYMon Jan 18 1988 14:0110

    	Nintendo game counselors have changed their number, their
    new number (which really bugs me) is (206)-885-PLAY. I guess so
    many people were using the toll free number that they switched it.

    				Their new number is...
    					Pat..

    For the interest of anybody with an NES in the UK (Hello! Anybody
    out there??!!) MATTEL no longer deal with Nintendo. A company in
    Coventry now deals with them called NESI UK, phone no. (0203)
    28701.

    Just thought you'd like to know.
