    Has anyone implemented the ADI method of solving Parabolic partial
    differential equations in 3 dimensions?   Numerical recipies has it
    in two.  I might have to start from there.  I want to solve the heat
    equations in 3 dimensions with variable thermal conductivity.  Looks
    like implicit methods are the way to go. Numerical recipies recommends
    ADI method and other researchers in the field have used implicit
    partial step alternating methods.
