According to the June issue of the Notices of the American Mathematical
Society, the AMS is holding a booksale with a 70% discount!
Sale ends October 15, 1985.  The sale only applies to a particular
list of books which they are overstocked with.  Bookstores and
agents are not eligible.  It doesn't appear that you have to be a
member, but you must place your order on the official order form
(or facsimile) that appears on page 414 of that issue.
Send me mail if you need a copy of the order form or the complete
list of books on sale.

Most of the books on the list are the usual stock of impossible-
to-read research texts.  However, one struck my eye as possibly being
of interest to readers of this file (although it too is hard-to-read),
which is why I mention this:

Birkhoff and Hall, ed., Computers in algebra and number theory, 1971.

List price: $19, sale price: $6.

I have a copy of this book, I'll put a review of it in note 292.1.
