163.0. "Remember me? I'm ..." by JAWS::PKAISER () Wed Oct 10 1984 13:24
This won a contest in England many years ago, and was published in a book whose
name I have long, long ago forgotten -- but not the poem itself:
Now I will a rhyme construct,
By chosen words the young instruct.
Cunningly devised endeavour;
Con it, and remember ever
Widths in circle here you see,
Sketched out in strange obscurity.
To which I added, while in high school:
Fifty of Lincoln's generals hope I willingly receive
a silver medallion for endlessly repeating old martial
tunes.

| How I want a drink (alcoholic of course) after the hours studying
difficult quantum mechanics.

| It would be interesting to see here a collection of all known ones. Does
anyone know of one (or can anyone come up with one) longer than the one in my
first note here? Can anyone think of a way to break the 0 barrier other than
by cheating (as I did with "Fifty...")?

| Sure. Use 10-letter words to represent 0.
