Hi, We in Albuquerque are hiring a univ. professor for the summer to grind out a bunch of applied math for us. He is in nedd of a (or several) math package(s) to help with his work. In particular, he needs both linear and nonlinear equation solvers. He is familiar with IMSL, NAG, and LINPAK. Of these, IMSL is his personal favorite. -So- Is there an IMSL package available on the Enet (preferably complete with license; although I am not sure whether IMSL distributes their tapes on a per-CPU or corporate license arrangement), or either NAG or LINPAK? Thanks in advance...Mike Duggan Please reply directly to me at: ABLE::DUGGAN (I apologize for being so crass in the Math notesfile and promise to enter an interesting graph-theoretic result when I get a chance...mtd)

Thanks to this file, and other sources, I have acquired several packages which I can make available to other users within DEC. There are licensing problems with some of these, but the ones I have which (***I THINK***) are in the public domain are SLATEC and LINPAK. I have several others in the works; as I get them up I will announce them in this Note. I am currentlr trying to make ABLE:: a repository of all known useful math packages which live in DEC. I would therefore appreciate any input as to what is out there. I can be reached on ABLE::Duggan and will gladly share what I obtain. We are in the process of putting these libraries in a public account but have not accomplished that as yet. More later. ...Mike ABLE::Duggan |
