| There's no diet under the sun that can take fat off a specific place on
your body. If you cut back on fat and calories, you will lose fat -
where you lose it from depends on genetics, etc.
You can't spot-reduce with exercise, either, but you can do exercise to
tone a specific area, which will make it firmer and tighter under
whatever fat is present.

Yes, I realise this is the case D!, but when I do lose weight
it comes off where I want it to anyway without much problem.
What I really want to know is if Rosemary Conley's concept
of dieting really works. It's basically a very low fat diet.
The book details loads of supposed 'succeeful dieters letters'
claiming to be cured of their bingeing habits for life since
starting her dieting concept. A lot of them also claim to have
kept the weight off (my big problem) for years.
Has this been the case for anyone ?
Or it it the usual case of getting bored with the new concept
after a while, and reverting to bad habits ?
I realise that it's up to the individual to learn good eating
habits, and this diet book certainly looks like you eat well
on it, but has anyone discovered that they adapted to it quite
easily ?

| Some diets can take pounds off your hips and only your hips!
That is, if that's where you usually keep your billfold ...

| Hi,
The Fall issue of Diet & Exercise magazine (I just picked my issue up
this morning) has a special book bonus of the Hip and Thigh Diet by
Rosemary Conley that you were inquiring about (including recipes).
