| I bought one last winter for use in my condo. It cost $18 at Bradlee's
and has been well worth the money.
While working out to some fitness show on t.v., I was able to run in
place quietly and with no jarring effect. As in running, it helped to
build my stamina. Believe it or not there are also other exercises you
can do such as stomach, ankles, etc.
I'm walking outside now, but on rainy days.... it's trampoline time..
A great workout---

| I also jog/dance/go nuts on a mini trampoline. It is great fun, and
builds coordination. I have actually lost 35 pounds since last October
by incorporating "tramping" (oops, that doesn't sound very good, does
it?!) into my exercise program. :^) Combined with some light weight
lifting and calesthenics for toning, I have lost a lot of inches as
well.
I found the less expensive trampolines popped springs very easily (I
was 160 at my heaviest and am currently 125), so I purchased a Jack La
Lanne brand at Hermans for almost $50 and it is built very solidly.
After 6 months use, all springs are still intact (knock wood!).
Give the trampoline a try. I jog in my stocking feet and have suffered
no ill affects to date.

| How do you store your mini? The ones I've seen had rigid legs and
do not fit under the bed. Closet space in my house is at a premium.

765.5 | room for it | SOLVIT::HUBBARD | | Wed Sep 09 1992 22:07 | 2 |
| Mine did fit under the bed (nicely) and in my condo there was enough
room for me and my bed (kidding, but it was small).

| Question: How noisy is it. We live 3 stories up in a apartment
building, and my husband's afraid it will cause a disturbance.

765.7 | Depends on how tolerant your neighbors are | JUPITR::KAGNO | Mom to the Wrecking Crew | Fri Sep 11 1992 02:39 | 14 |
| Donna,
It has a tendency to vibrate and after awhile the springs start
creaking. To be honest, I have had my share of problems while jogging
on a trampoline in an apartment environment. Downstairs tennants
questioned what I was doing every night in my apartment. Guess they
thought I was a wild sort of woman with a very active sex life!! :^)
When I moved recently, I deliberately took the 3rd floor apartment with
the loft, so I would be jogging above my living room and not someone
else's apartment.

| THANKS! Thats what I wanted to know. Guess I could get one and do it
on the back porch. I'll have to think about it.
